Millions of people go on YouTube to get help doing things, or see how a product works before they make a purchase. By creating “how-to” tutorial videos, you can gather an audience interested in the affiliate products and services you’re promoting.
When you’re making these types of videos, be sure to show your viewers a step-by-step guide on how to do something and include your products or service. For example, if you’re promoting a digital pen, make a video such as “how to draw better on your iPad.” In the video, you’d mention the digital pen and list your affiliate link in the description.
This will get viewers interested in the product, knowing that they too can get the desired result as you if they use your tools.
3. The “Best of” and “Top 10” genre
These videos are easy to produce, but bring in the big bucks. Making a list of the best things in a specific product group or category will allow you to plug multiple affiliate links and potentially make more sales.
All you have to do is collect several products, usually somewhere between 5 and 10, and make a list highlighting the pros and cons of each. Start with the least good product to get your viewer’s attention, but leave the best for last to ensure they finish watching your video.
