There's a Reason Our Prices Are Low
It's not like we have access to a special deal from Microsoft.
Like how a car manufacturer builds a car and uses a dealer to sell it, Microsoft develops Microsoft Office and uses retail partners to sell it.
Best Buy isn't interested in selling Microsoft Office at a low price. They have many stores, many employees, and massive overheads.
To get Best Buy to sell Microsoft Office, Microsoft has to offer them a discount of 34% to 40%.
Microsoft is willing to pay for this because once Microsoft launched Microsoft Office 2021, every extra unit sold didn't cost them anything.
Once Taylor releases her new album, she has to make 0 effort for every new sale.
Coming back to Best Buy.
Because Microsoft offers such a good deal to Best Buy, they are, by law, required to offer that to all resellers.
Including Software Keep.
We Had a Choice
One option was to do what Best Buy does: keep around 40% for ourselves and sell it to you at retail.
But this is silly because we don't have the overheads that Best Buy has. That means we can pass some of those savings to you while maintaining a healthy, equitable business.
So that's what we did. It's why you're seeing a 30% OFF discount today.
Be Mindful
It's one thing for a company like SoftwareKeep to offer a 30% OFF discount. It's entirely different to buy from a site. that sells a licensed version for $50 (or sometimes even lower).
Microsoft has spent years and billions of dollars building its brand. They would never allow a reseller to sell their Microsoft Office for a price that low.
