What causes out of Sync Audio and Video?

Streaming Services

Streaming services can be one of the biggest culprits. It’s important to use streaming services that are reliable. Poor streaming service quality can result in the message “Audio and Video out of Sync in Windows 10.” Amazon Prime, Netflix, and Youtube are examples of streaming services that could cause an issue. The audio may proceed with the video or the other way around; thus, making watching movies very distracting.

The worse it gets, the harder it is to follow along with the video playback. Streaming services may have a periodic disruption in service that causes out of sync audio and video in Windows 10. Often these issues will clear up on their own, but if you can determine the issue truly is with the streaming service, contact the service and report the issue.

Internet Connection

It is sometimes difficult to determine if the problem is with the streaming service or with your Internet connection. There are plenty of online services that will test the speed of your Internet. If you have a fast, steady Internet connection, you shouldn’t have an issue with audio video out of sync in Windows 10.

If you run a test on your Internet speed and find that it is having issues, contact your Internet service provider and report the problem. Sometimes just switching from a WiFi connection to a hardwired connection will make a difference, but if you have good Internet service, you shouldn’t have to.

Change Browsers

Sometimes changing the browser might be helpful, but not always. It’s worth trying if all else is failing. Sometimes browser issues can occur when the cache is full. Clearing the cache might alleviate the problem.
